Point
The increasing access to information on the internet has created more solutions that problems in the educational aspect. With more information to refer to, researching and obtaining knowledge is easier and more convenient.

Explanation
As their is more and more articles, statistics and research papers being uploaded online and becoming viewable by anyone, referencing to sources on the internet for learning has become ever so easy. Students can now to turn to the internet when the need to do research arises. The popular term “Google it” coined after it become a norm to use the search engine to access information every time a you have a doubt. The vast amount of information available online and the convenience of getting it makes the information on internet extremely beneficial to education. Though the information on the internet is not always good, since there is also mature content that will not be suitable for students. However, students are equipped with the necessary maturity to know not to access this content.

According to the thesocialskinny.com webpage under the article “100 Social Media, Mobile and Internet Statistics for 2012 (March)” in one day on the internet, enough information is consumed to fill 168 million DVDs. This example shows the great expanse of information available on the internet. With all this information available you can learn anything you want to on the internet.

As such, increasing access to information on the internet is more a boon than it is a bane. Students will benefit from completing their assignments and learning from the expanse of knowledge available on the internet. But they can be distracted and stalled by the harmful information online.
